How to read these arm lift photographs
An arm lift is judged with the arms held away from the body, the position in which the excess skin on the inner arm hangs most. Compare the outline of the arm between armpit and elbow: it should become even again, with no residual fullness near the armpit and no fold at the end of the scar.
The trade-off is a scar, confined to the armpit or running along the whole inner arm depending on the excess to be removed: it shows in short sleeves, and its quality depends largely on stopping smoking, at least four weeks before and for several weeks after surgery. The final result is judged between three and six months; the scar continues to mature well beyond that.
