Breast reduction: 4 cases in before-and-after photos
This gallery brings together real results of breast reduction carried out by Dr Benjamin Pulvermacker, illustrating the correction of breast hypertrophy, sometimes associated with ptosis.
The photographs, published with the patients' consent, give a concrete idea of the results obtained, without constituting a promise of an identical outcome.

How to read these breast reduction photographs
Compare the volume, but also the height of the areola in relation to the fold beneath the breast: a reduction almost always corrects the sagging that accompanies a heavy breast. In profile, look at the projection of the breast and the space it occupies on the chest; from the front, at the symmetry between the two sides.
The scars are part of the result and should be looked at in the photographs: in the great majority of cases, one around the areola, one vertical down to the fold and one horizontal within the fold. Red and sometimes itchy around the first month, they fade over a few months. The final result is judged at one year, once the shape has settled and the scars have matured.
