Yes. A remote consultation is possible before you travel. It serves to examine your request, gather your history and your investigations, and say what can be considered — and what cannot.
It does not replace the clinical examination: no indication is set on a screen. But it avoids the opposite, which would be worse: crossing several countries to be told no.
The written quotation is sent to you after that consultation, before any travel. The statutory fifteen-day reflection period runs from the moment it is issued.
The secretariat answers in French and in English, by telephone and in writing.

It depends on the operation, and the interval that applies to you is set on discharge. The guides below are for a short flight; beyond four hours of travel they lengthen.
These times are not administrative formalities. A long flight adds several hours of immobility and dry air, on tissues that are healing.
In practice the trip is built around three stages: the consultation with clinical examination and the anaesthetic consultation, the operation, then the check-up before you leave.
Operations are carried out at the Clinique de la Muette, in the 16th arrondissement, an establishment certified and accredited by the French National Authority for Health. A consultant anaesthetist is present for every operation.
The practice is at 14 rue Pétrarque, in the same arrondissement, a few minutes from the Trocadéro. The area has many places to stay; the practice does not handle bookings.
This is the question that decides, and it deserves a precise answer: you are not left alone between surgery and the flight home. Nurses at the practice and the clinic handle dressings, a physiotherapist specialising in manual lymphatic drainage attends from the second day, and the anaesthetist remains reachable to adjust pain relief. The practice is also equipped with a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, offered where indicated.
The surgeon sees you himself twice: within seven days, then between day ten and day fourteen. It is these two appointments that fix the moment you can fly again — which is why the lengths of stay given above cannot be shortened by agreement. Details are on the page covering post-operative care.
The surgeon's professional number is given to you after the operation. Follow-up consultations are not charged for during one year.
This must be said plainly: monitoring in the first few days is done on site, not remotely. That is why the intervals given above are not negotiable — they correspond to the point at which an on-site check is no longer needed.
It is a legitimate question, and it can be checked without taking our word for it.
Dr Pulvermacker is registered with the Paris Medical Council under number 75/72049, with an exclusive qualification in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. That registration can be consulted on the website of the French National Medical Council.
A former hospital resident and former head of clinic in the Paris hospitals, holder of the higher diploma in plastic surgery, he is a member of the French Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and of the French College of Plastic Surgery. He still practises in the public hospital system, at the Saint-Louis hospital.
In France the title « aesthetic surgeon » is not protected in itself. It is the Medical Council qualification that attests to the training, and it is verifiable.
The consultation is charged at 200 euros. For the procedure itself, no price is published, and this is not commercial reticence: none would be fair before the examination. The cost depends on the technique chosen, the operating time, the type of anaesthesia and the establishment.
The quotation given at the consultation — or sent after the remote consultation — is detailed, written, and opens a statutory period of fifteen days during which no deposit may be taken. It is a protection provided by French law, and it applies whatever your country of residence.
Entry formalities for France are a matter for the consulate in your country of residence. The practice does not issue any certificate before an operating date has been set.
Yes in most cases, provided the remote consultation has taken place beforehand and the statutory reflection period has elapsed before your arrival.
Any revision means coming back. It is never considered before one year for a rhinoplasty, six months for most other operations: the time for the result to become final.
